It does not seem to make a difference if the power source is a regular PC 5V USB port, a charging port or the original AC adapter and cable. The only perceptible difference is that whenever it shows the Huawei logo, it reboots quicker if connected to PC. If left alone for an hour+ the phone does not go out of this boot loop state.
