Oil temp should be under 110 degrees. After that, the oil starts becoming thin and wear & tear of the engine speeds up. After 120 you start to loose oil pressure and you really should stop pushing engine. Also after that, viscosity of the oil is decreased tremendously. Leak Observed after persistent Oil Shortage was observed on my VW TSI 2.0 Engine. Oil leak could be seen around the turbo charger oil hoses.
There are two places where it can leak. I didn't know where it was leaking from mine, but I took the cover off, and then took the whole vacuum pump too, to fix both possible places. On my engine, 2.0 TSI CAWB 2009, there is a seal for the outer cover, that can be removed with I think 5 bolts.
